The "Explore Hardanger Fjord" round trip starts by train on the Bergen Line Railway from Bergen or Oslo. This is an ideal trip exploring the Hardangerfjord, waterfalls, dramatic mountains and idyllic fruit farms. The trip starts on the Bergen Railway from Bergen to Voss before continuing by bus to the beautiful fruit village of Ulvik. In Eidfjord you can take an additional interesting sightseeing tour or just relax beside the fjord, wander around the centre of Eidfjord, enjoy some lunch and visit the excellent N. Bergslien Gallery. If you choose the sightseeing tour you will explore Vøringsfossen, the biggest waterfall in Norway and take a visit to the Hardangervidda Nature Centre. | ||||||||||||||||||||

A fjord cruise on the Hardanger fjord is next, with views of towering mountains, waterfalls and idyllic orchards and plenty of time on board to digest the many impressions before the boat arrives in Norheimsund. If you are travelling at the end of May you will probably catch the lovely blossoming of the fruit trees in Hardanger. From Norheimsund, the tour continues by coach passing the impressive Steindalsfossen waterfall to Bergen, crossing the Kvamskogen mountain plateau.
