- The validity on the day of use runs from 0:00 hrs. to 24: hrs.
- The Austria Germany Railpass is strictly personal and not transferable. It is valid only if name and passport number of the holder are indicated and must be signed by the holder. Presentation of the passport is compulsory when asked for by a railway official charged with ticket inspection.
- The holders themselves fix the first day of the period of validity and the date of use.
- Before boarding the train, the date of use must be entered by the holder in ink or ballpoint pen in the column reserved for that purpose. Passengers who fail to comply with this provision or presenting tampered or altered or otherwise falsified Austria Germany Railpass or Austria Germany Railpasses not made out to their name are to be treated as passengers traveling without valid tickets.
- Children (ages 4-11 yrs). Pay half the adult fare.
- Children under 4 travel free.
- Youth age 12-25
- Saverpasses are discounted for 2-5 people traveling together.
